Managing Director Martin Friedrich and CFO Winfried Hubrich credit an ambitious marketing approach and an intense focus on agile software development for 2016 successes and 2017 aspirations.
Agile software development and coaching took center stage in 2016 at Cegeka Germany, which won a 11 million euros agile project for a large client in the German insurance sector that will continue until mid-2017. Cegeka Germany’s long-term partner in aviation branch also invested in a new 5-year project in 2016, which centers around a shift to ITIL-based services.
For the first time last year, projects featured international collaboration between the German, Romanian, Belgian and Dutch Cegeka companies to provide tailored services. “Germany is an important market for Cegeka. Here, international collaboration is a huge differentiator – our ability to tackle international projects at the local level sets us apart,” Winfried explains.Investing in people, boosting software factory offering
In 2017, Cegeka Germany will continue to strengthen its core competency in professional services while investing heavily in its agile software factory and brand-new infrastructure offering by our sister company Cegeka Solutions GmbH. In addition to managing two data centers in Germany, Cegeka Solutions GmbH also supports customers in developing strategic concepts with a practical approach to modern IT solutions.
David Zion, Managing Director of Cegeka Solutions since December 2016, notes: “There are many companies facing the challenges and uncertainties that come with digitalization. We’re a strong partner to work alongside to master these challenges.” New capacities have now enabled Cegeka Solutions to offer remote infrastructure managed services to German customers in close cooperation with Cegeka Romania.
Even further, the coming year will also be characterized by continuing investment in training for existing and new personnel, particularly in .NET and agile approaches, and also in the infrastructure of our new software factory. Developing novel blockchain solutions is also a key innovation target.Driving customers’ trust in the long term
“When it comes to driving innovation in the digital age, ‘trust’ is the key word for our customers,” Martin says. “Our ambition is to convince them not only of our expertise in topics including blockchain, digitalization and IoT, but also that we are there for them. We’re transparent, we’re collaborative and we’re there for the long haul.”
